This month, our meetup is co-hosted by PHASTAR and the Low Altitude Airspace Users Group. We will meet and hear from helicopter pilots and emergency services personnel who routinely fly in the same airspace with drone pilots. We will learn how they operate, and the risks presented by drones/UAVs. By maximizing awareness and following a few basic rules & procedures, drone pilots can share the airspace safely.
Police, fire, and other emergency services personnel from around northeast Ohio are invited to join us for our quarterly First Responders gathering. We will discuss topics related to legal violations and enforcement of drone regulations.
Please contact us through the website if you are interested in attending.
Our February meetup will be a roundtable discussion of the FAA’s recently released NPRM on Remote ID.
We will present an overview of the proposed rule, and several local drone pilots will share their thoughts, perspectives, and concerns. We will also have time dedicated to an open forum, and we would like to hear from drone pilots in the region. The North Coast Drone Alliance will be aggregating comments and concerns from this public forum, and submitting our comments on behalf of the UAS community in northeast Ohio.
Please plan to attend this important meeting. RSVP here: https://meetingstar.io/event/f232rgc2r3HCk
If you are unable to attend but you would like to share your comments, please send us a message through the NORCODA website.
